mrfootball
Good news for Texadelphia fans in the NW side of town...a new Texadelphia is opening up at 12914 FM 1960 West, Ste. B (Located at 1960 West and Wortham - one block North of 290).I remember when it was just one location down on the Drag across from UT...back in the day...(along with Double Dave's)...now they're both all over the place. Original Timmy Chan's
I'd skip Texadelphia and make the drive to UH for South Philly Steaks on Scott Street. Even if I did live 40 miles out of town...
Jeebus
There's a Philly Cheesesteak place on Chimney Rock just south of Westheimer on the west side of the street. I forget the name, but the sandwiches are good.Since we're talking about cheesesteaks, how the hell is that abomination of a restaurant "Philly Cheesesteak Connection" staying open serving the slop it does?? PureAuteur
Philly Connection is the cheesesteak equivalent of Subway. Texadelphia is better, but still mediocre quality. If you want really good cheesesteak, you have to search for the locally owned places, like the South Philly Steaks on Scott St. that Timmy Chans was talking about. KatieDidIt
Texadelphia tanked here in Sterling Ridge, and we were glad to see it go. Very limited menu and served beer only. Somehow you just can't "chain" a Philly cheesesteak and get away with it.
PureAuteur
They only served beer? What are the kids supposed to drink? No water or fountain drinks?
mrfootball
Texadelphia is popular with UT alums. It was one of the great little 'hole in the wall' places located right off campus. They had great cheesesteak sandwiches, burgers, turkey sandwiches, and awesome Queso. In Houston, the bigger locations like the one on Memorial Drive and Westheimer are great gameday locations for watching college football. PureAuteur
MrFootball- have you ever been to SRO Sports Bar in Champions? That's supposed to be the best place in the nw area for watching sports.
RedScare
Texadelphia is popular with UT alums. That's their problem. The food still bites.
Parrothead
Hubby and I love Texadelphia. I think it's great, and my dad's from PA so I consider myself a half-expert
