Earlier this week, in San Jose, NHL Sharks fans booed loudly from the beginning of the Canadian Anthem until the end. Here is an account of how the Edmonton fans responded in Game 6 in Edmonton, followed by a video.

"Inside Rexall Place, Edmonton fans showed their enthusiasm from the get-go. They loudly cheered the American national anthem, drowning out singer Paul Lorieau.

The fans' response put an end to the controversy created when Sharks fans booed O Canada in Game 5 Sunday.

"We cheered for their anthem and we got it done," said Oiler fan Morten Feddersen. "We might be a bunch of rednecks, but we have class. That's the whole difference right there and we won for it."

Then began the Canadian Anthem, O Canada....
