I was in Denton a month or two ago, and can report that it does not have enough buildings to have a skyline per se, but it does have the TWU buildings and a few large buildings near the courthouse square. I liked downtown Denton.
The Voice of University Oaks
Denton's "skyline" consists of a few residential towers at TWU, the old Courthouse on the Square, and the Morrison's grain silo. Other notable structures you'll see from I-35E are Fouts Field and the Murchison Performance Center (the "steel armadillo") at the University of North Texas, the two new hospitals (Presbyterian and Denton Regional Medical Center), and the new corporate headquarters of Sally Beauty Supply. J.A.S.O.N.
I'm so glad Fry St. is going this way. It's still kind of weird coming out of a bar at 2am and staring at the university not even 20ft away, reminding you that class starts in less than five hrs.
