RockyDijohn Posted March 21 Share Posted March 21 Blanco's (formerly Hondo's Hog Leg Saloon) had a good run from 1982 through November 30, 2013. The dance floor was small, but experience two-steppers knew how to navigate counter-clockwise around it without too many bumps. Featured performers included Alvin Crow, Johnny Bush, Dale Watson, Doug Walker (the yodeling "Pavoratti of the Plains"), Gary P. Nunn, The Derailers, Gary P. "London Homesick Blues" Nunn, Lyle Lovett, Rusty Weir, Shake Russell, The Hollisters, Jim Lauderdale, Jesse Dayton, Johnny Falstaff, and The Gourds. Joe Parsons (The River Oaks Redneck) seemed to always be there and somewhat of the Mayor of Blanco's. He and his wife were often the first to hit the dance floor. Gary P.
