Colored Sanitarium Destroyed by Blaze

Two negresses, patients at the Houston colored sanitarium, 3102 Providence street, were removed to safety when fire was discovered in the building, a two-story frame structure, about 8 o'clock Saturday afternoon.

Fanned by a high wind, the fire spread rapidly to all potions of the house, which was entirely destroyed, and an adjusting cottage was scorched on one side. Flying sparks also caused several slight roof fires in the neighborhood, which were quickly extinguished by the firemen. The Feagan.
