The owners of 909 Fisher St are Haig and Hien Papaian. The duo are co-owners of The Papaian Group. Savior and Patton's are two dining concepts in the Papaian Group's portfolio.

Soon, the hospitality group will transform the 909 Fisher St property into a new eatery. It's possible, plans are for a bar & grill concept.

In a press release sent to CultureMap last fall, Papaian Group teased plans for future dining concepts:

The Papaian Group also has plans to grow in 2023 with unnamed concepts that “fill some of the gaps in nightlife and dining in the Heights and Garden Oaks/Oak Forest areas,” according to a release.

As for the nightlife concept in planning for Oak Grove near the Garden Oaks area, it's a bar named Haig's Ice House. Architecture and interior design firm Coevál Studio is designing the space.

Haig's Ice House is listed as a beer garden concept on HPH Holdings' website. I don't know when the site was last updated, but Haig's Ice House has a 2023 date. Clearly, this is not going to open this year.

Additional renderings of Haig's Ice House were recently uploaded to HPH Holdings' website.

Haig's Ice House is a beer garden / bar & grill concept from The Papaian Group.  The sports bar will be located at 909 Fisher St. The projected opening is sometime in 2024.

Coevál Studio is designing the space.

No construction yet but it’s on maps

The Google Map listing for Haig's Ice House (909 Fisher St) has been up since late summer.

Since The Papaian Group has yet to submit building plans to the city, it may be a while until we see any work on the building.

A utility administrative application fee (water/waste water application) was purchased last month. I know very little about building and permitting. Maybe that fee means something. I don't know. From what I've observed, a water/waste water application is usually required before buying a plan reviewing fee permit. So, perhaps building plans will be submitted soon. Again, I really don't know. Maybe someone who knows more about this process can chime in.
