Not To Go On And On About Dallas, But

Hi,

Some of you seem knowledgable about Dallas, so I thought I'd ask what houses or neighborhoods would be recommended we drive through while we're up there for President's day weekend. I'm looking online and finding a few cool houses, but I could use some help. They would need to be houses that are easily viewable from the street as it will be a driving tour and we probably won't get out and knock on any doors or anything like that.

There are some between Marsh and Web Chapel south of Royal.

I wish I could help you more, but I have seen a number in this general area. My inlaws used to live in one.

The "Disney Streets" area north of Royal - streets with names like "Snow White" and "Pinnochio" - mods mixed with tradional. RPS has mentioned the Better Homes and Garden house in Houston. The Dallas version is on Cinderella in bad shape.

Also another area of mixed design Northeast of Preston and Alpha, enter on a street called Danvers.

The big names are

Edward Durrell Stone - residence - not sure of address

This site has the Edward Durell Stone house as well as a lot of others. I think we'll try to see some of the ones from his site. Thanks for mentioning the Fairy Tale streets. We'll look into those too.
