BKR Washington Center At 3315, 3316 And 3350 Washington Ave.

Actually, the parcel is 3315 Center St. 

According to the city of Houston parcel map, the property consists of:
 

• 3315 Center St
• 3316 Washington Ave
• 3350 Washington Ave

This is part of Buffalo Heights District.


And there is an existing thread about this. It was initially titled 3300 Washington Ave. The block was the previous home to Admiral Linen Fleet Shop.

For whatever reason, either a moderator combined topics or a user posted details about another unrelated project in that topic. That topic then became about a different property north of this parcel, which is becoming a multifamily residential from Portman at 3520 Center St.

These are two different properties and should be unmerged.

This should be merged with the topic that was originally titled 3300 Washington Ave:

Two different projects, this has nothing to do with the Portman residential project except for the previous owner of the properties.

I think there were ongoing discussion about both  3315 Center St / 3300 Washington Ave AND 3520 Center St because some thought it would all be developed by the same developers.  But it looks as if that didn't happen:
 

• 3520 Center St was purchased by Portman Holdings, which is being developed into a multifamily residential from Portman
   
• 3315 Center St / 3300 Washington Ave was purchased by BKR Memorial in 2020. BKR Memorial is behind Buffalo Heights District.

Perhaps mods may want to consider unmerging the posts about 3315 Center St / 3300 Washington Ave from ongoing posts about the multifamily residential from Portman at 3520 Center St. It seems like they're different properties from different owners and are unrelated to the each other.


Also, maybe posts about 3315 Center St / 3300 Washington Ave probably should be moved to the Buffalo Heights District topic. Something for mods to consider:

That's a lot of large land tracts for sale in this immediate area. It's probably only a matter of time before HISD sells the old Harper School building at 3200 Center which is just the HISD construction office atm. I kind of wish someone would buy the main part of that campus for some kind of adaptive reuse. There's something about it I like.
