  • The title was changed to 1st Stop Food Store | 2418 Yale St

The 2,520 sq ft building on the 2418 Yale St property was most recently home to convenience store 1st Stop Food Store.

Gary Mosley, owner of the Creek Group (Onion Creek, Canyon Creek, Cactus Cove, Piggy's), purchased the property earlier this year.

Mosley is seeking a tenant for the space; ideally a retail, convenience store, or restaurant. The property has been available for lease for a while.

Chodrow Realty Advisors is the leasing agent for the property.

The 2418 Yale St property is back on the market. It was recently listed for sale on Loopnet.

A convenience store named 1st Stop Food Store previously operated here.

I don't know if 2418 Yale Street is still on the market or not. I think it was unlisted on Loopnet either in January or February. Of course, an unlisted property is not always an indication of a sale or lease. Sometimes brokers remove listings to list elsewhere or other reasons.

County records show 2418 Yale St has not changed hands. However, I think someone or a group may have leased or is in leasing negotiations for the Heights property.

A trade name was filed for The Next Door Bar and The Deuce. 2418 Yale St is the listed address of operations.

The Next Door operated at 2020 Waugh Dr prior to the COVID pandemic. It relocated to Shady Acres Saloon soon after. I think the owner of The Next Door Bar is also the proprietor of Shady Acres Saloon.

Maybe The Next Door is relocating to 2418 Yale St?  And if so, I wonder how they'll repurpose the building or will add on to it in some way.

Earlier this week, a second plan review permit was filed for 2418 Yale St.  A principal at Gage Architecture purchased the permit. The Houston-based design firm's clients are mostly restaurants and bars.

Listed as the occupant is The Deuce. Last month, a DBA filing for The Deuce was registered with the county. As previously noted, it's from the proprietor of The Next Door Bar and Shady Acres Saloon.

Additionally, the listed occupants for past permits related to 2415 Yale St were changed this week to The Deuce. The plan review indicates the former convienvce store is being converted into a restaurant.

Someone shared a progress photo of The Deuce's exterior on Nextdoor last month. The photo details work on the windows and doors. It also show the signage. Based on the sign, The Deuce is a pizza bar. 

The Deuce is located at 2418 Yale St. It's a bar and pizza restaurant from the proprietor of Shady Acres Saloon.

The Deuce is open as of a few weeks ago. According to its Instagram page, the opening was the first week of March.

Billed as a pizza bar, The Deuce is located at 2418 Yale St. It is the latest nightlife concept from the proprietor of Shady Acres Saloon. The bar replaces the convenience store named 1st Stop Food Store.
