An entrance to the club was right across from the Post Office on Timmons, about the middle of the block, not right on the corner. Private 'Gentlemen's' Club or private dining club??? May be the former lanes. The Briar Club has been around since the 1940s as a place to dine, play tennis, and swim. My wife went there a few times with people she knew, and wanted to jopin, but it was more than I was willing to spend.
