Google Maps has the location wrong, it's actually up in the triangle between Dairy Ashford, 59 and 90-A. In front of the former Jumbo Sports parking lot.

I thought that location seemed strange.

Man that takes me back. I vaguely remember that building even being a store. Seem to remember it being a fitness club or something else most of the time.

Location makes sense though. The newer multi-story Audi dealer is on the opposite side of that access road that cuts from the 59 feeder to Parklane Blvd, right near where this would appear to be.

Yeah originally the building looked like a "mini Wal-Mart" and had only one entrance. Then after Jumbo Sports shut down it was subidvided. Bally Total Fitness took over the original side, and Computer City built out the other side, but was shut down by their CompUSA buyout before they could open the store.

That corner of land has an interesting origin it started off much small as 59 cut across the property to meet up with it's old alignment (present 90-A). In the 70s it the freeway was expanded towards Sugar Land, and Spur 41 (present final block of Dairy Ashford) was designated as a Highway connector between the old and new alignments.

Wow this one is kinda nicer than the new one on 59.

The dealerships they have been opening in Brazil recently have this new design as well, this one opened recently in Brasilia.

"Luxury auto retailer Indigo Auto Group recently opened a new Porsche dealership in Sugar Land.

The 150,000-square-foot campus was built at 13426 Southwest Freeway, near Highway 90. About 50 employees are expected to work at the new location, which will also offer a Porsche maintenance and repair center."

New 'Destination Porsche' dealership opens in Sugar Land (houstonchronicle.com)

"In another measure of Fort Bend County's economic success, the Houston area's newest Porsche dealership last week held its grand opening in Sugar Land, drawing several hundred guests who socialized amid sleek cars and snacked on oysters.

While there are several other Porsche dealerships in the Houston area, the Sugar Land showroom is the first in Texas designed in accordance with the "Destination Porsche" concept the automaker announced in 2019. The idea is that the dealership should serve as a gathering place, as well as a showroom. Visitors to the Sugar Land location will find a barista on site, as well as a social space with ample seating, the Porscheplatz."
