Blue Dogs
Today is the final day on the air for legendary NBC 2 KPRC-TV Houston reporter Phil Archer, who is leaving the station after 44 years with the Houston NBC affiliate. The legendary Houston reporter has covered it all ranging from being stabbed & knocked unconscious during the 1978 Moody Parks Riots coverage & other major events. "Phil's the guy you send when your own reputation is on the line," former NBC News Bureau Chief & KPRC-TV Houston reporter Larry Weidman told mikemcguff.com. "He always delivers & he has for nearly half a century. Plus, he's also from Wichita Falls." https://mikemcguff.blogspot.com/2021/02/phil-archer-to-retire-from-kprc-2.html TX Governor Greg Abbott (R) issued a message of luck to Archer: Any thoughts on Archer's retirement from NBC 2 KPRC-TV Houston after 44 years ?
