skwatra Posted December 20, 2005 Share Posted December 20, 2005 has anyone seen bar stool mag? i noticed it in a lounge last weekend and picked it up. i'm assuming this is fairly new, no one has posted anything on their site yet. the barbrowse feature is really nice, though i've already found some things (the "cover" column) to be inaccurate for a few places. once people find out about this and start posting reviews/pics i think this will be a good guide to our entertainment scene. Htowngirl Posted January 18, 2006 Share Posted January 18, 2006 I found out about it from a bartender friend at A+, he's friends with the guy who started it (can't think of his name). He says the guy is all about the nightlife scene, but thought the magazines out there (002 and ENVY, I guess?) were not really for real people and wanted this magazine to be more about "real people." I thought the maps inside were GREAT - I ripped them all out to carry with me. I like the day-by-day bar guide too. It has potential for sure. RedScare Posted January 18, 2006 Share Posted January 18, 2006 How depressing. I've drank in over two-thirds of all the bars listed in the Heights, Downtown and Midtown. No wonder I'm broke.
