A proposed subdivision plat for Salvation Army at Quitman / Salvation Army at North Main South was submitted yesterday to the city's planning department. I think this will appear on the upcoming Planning Commission meeting on October 19.

Details from the plat:

  • Application type: Class 2 subdivision replat (C2R)

  • Unrestricted Reserve A

  • Reserve size: 0.7828 acres / 34,100 sf

The plat includes:

  • 501 Quitman St

  • 0 Morris St

  • 2315 N Main St

  • 2317 N Main St

  • 2319 N Main St

As noted in the architectural barriers project filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), the parcels are related to The Salvation Army renovation across the street at 2407 N Main St. This is what's planned for the 501 Quitman St parcel and adjacent parcels:

site work and parking of additional property to 2407 N Main Street...

https://www.tdlr.texas.gov/TABS/Search/Print/TABS2023024138

Below is a map of the aforementioned parcels outlined.

Below is another rendering of what appears to be The Salvation Army headquarters at 2407 N Main St. The rendering is from Curry Boudreaux Architects' website.

I don't know if this is an earlier rendering or a recent one.

In addition to the proposed subdivision plat Salvation Army at Quitman (a replat of Salvation Army at North Main South), another subdivision plat was yesterday pertaining to this development.

The subdivision plat Salvation Army at Carl was submitted yesterday to the city's planning department. It's a replat of Salvation Army North Main North. I think both plats will appear on the upcoming Planning Commission meeting on October 19.
