While some of the unique problems of New Orleans will not happen here, we have our own set of problems. The sooner plans are made to address them, the better. kjb434 Posted August 31, 2005 Share Posted August 31, 2005 I think a CAT 5 in Houston will be more of the wind and tornado damage that you see in Gulfport Biloxi. The flooding amount will depend a lot on how long the storm takes to pass.Storm surge would be a big issue for Bay Areas and low lying areas.It is definitely a when and not if situation.
