KatieDidIt
I see all these new plans for expansions and new freeways when they can't even finish 249. TxDot has a severe case of ADD

CDeb
How else do you want to pay for it? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We can always raise the gasoline tax. I mean, it's such a steal right now!
kjb434
Yes, but not all gasoline taxes go to transportation. Texas has been funneling a portion of it to education. This leaves the door open for pilfering any increase for other uses. At least tolling will keep the money to transit only projects.
CDeb
I was being facetious. Raising the gas tax wouldn't exactly be a popular move right now, knowhatimean?
KatieDidIt
I know all the funding went through, but as of yet there is no construction. The traffic has gotton so heavy on the feeder,s after the freeway ends, these past few months. Its really starting to add quite a bit to the commute. ALso MOntgomery County needs to get cracking on 2978, the single lanes are backed up at the Parkway light now about 1/4 mile. Once that Walmart opens on that corner, it ain't gonna be pretty.
