Muralpainter
Hunt Global Resources Inc., headquartered in The Woodlands, has announced plans to develop a frac-sand mining facility driven by green technology on a 350-acre tract in Montgomery County. The site, located in the 14000 block of Old Conroe Road, is estimated to hold 21 million tons of marketable frac-sand, said George Sharp, CEO of Hunt Global Resources Inc.Operations are scheduled to commence around the third quarter of 2012http://www.yourhoustonnews.com/magnolia/news/new-frac-sand-mining-operation-coming-to-montgomery-county/article_ae85ef30-2783-11e1-afad-0019bb2963f4.html#.TuzDTiGPpSs.emailThe mining site is very close to Carriage Hills, and Old Conroe Road has expensive subdivisions that the sand trucks will pass by. I'm waiting for the NIMBY force to protest the location.
