largeTEXAS
Great ices! The custard and ice combo is topnotch. The owner is also a very nice man, I just wish he weren't in that crappy center.
H-Town Man
Remember when they used to have Italian ices in the Astrodome? I used to love those things. Then one day, I searched and they were gone. I must have walked a complete lap around the building as the realization slowly sunk in. I think they left about the same time as the scoreboard. Duce
There used to be only one or two stands for the ices in the Dome.

Andrew Broadfoot
I noticed today that they were moving furniture and bar equipment out of Escobar. Also, a not on the Vietnamese restaurant next door read that they would return when power was restored. Besides the obvious (no electricity), does anyone have more info on this? Simbha
I don't know, but the reviews on Yelp have trended downward - no 4 or 5 star reviews after September 2010. Maybe people got tired of going to the place and they lost enough business to shut down...
Andrew Broadfoot
Nevermind, I was actually referring to a club on the other side that they bought out and are expanding I believe. I don't actually club but I live across the street and enjoy all they craziness between 2 and 3am on the weekends.
Slick Vik
The place next door is Republika. That place has been dead for a while.
tigereye
The place next door is Republika. That place has been dead for a while.Republika closed on Nov 22nd. I wonder if all these closing may have anything to do with Camden & the Superblock?!?
