sevfiv
Does anyone know offhand a place that sells (retail) roman bricks or something similar to Andy Cordells? Is Eagle-Cordell in business or even selling to the public? These measure 11 1/4 x 3 1/2 x 1 1/2 and are smooth on one long edge and split on the other.. I found a similar one by Novabrik but can't find any local retailers..
Brickfence
Your best bet would be to call Allstate Brick Co, or Western Brick Co. Both of these retailers sell used brick and sell to the public. Eagle-Cordell was purchased by Oldcastle, then sold off to Headwaters. The yard is still open on McCarty, but they mainly sell CMU and other concrete products now. They haven't made clay brick in years. The last time I bought Roman sized brick, I bought them from Acme. But they were new and would not match the older styles.

I've seen many older buildings with Roman brick and have always thought they were beautiful. Perhaps someone with Houston Mod might know of a source.
