Yankee_in_TX
Running out of ideas. It's not the spark plug (I swapped it with a working burner), it's not the electric ignitor (it clicks), and it's not the gas line (I can light it with a match). Any ideas before I give in and call someone? We have a sealed type burner (kina' like this):
musicman
have you tried removing/reseating the center disk? sometimes if it is slightly off in alignment the burner won't light.

BryanS
No spark. The igniter may be clicking, but it may not be sparking. Like every igniter I have seen on a BBQ grill... you can push that button over and over and over... nothing. That's when you resort to just using matches.I would say faulty igniter... Yankee_in_TX
Has the problem been solved? We need to know.Haven't tried to replace the starter yet. Will post after I do. It will be a little more difficult as I have yet to figure if the entire range top pulls up or not.
Fringe
I had a similar problem. The igniter was sparking but wasn't correctly aligned. Adjusted with some needle nose pliers and it's now working great.

Yankee_in_TX
I had a similar problem. The igniter was sparking but wasn't correctly aligned. Adjusted with some needle nose pliers and it's now working great. That was pretty much it. Once I found the starter device (the entire top didn't open, I had to remove all 4 burners and look in), one of the wires was actually not plugged into it It was a pain to get in there due to the angel, but we got it.
