groovehouse Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 Just got back from lunch at this mainly vegetarian/vegan restaurant. They offer two fish dishes, salmon and tuna, otherwise it's pretty much vegetarian fare. Order at the counter and your food is brought to your table. Sandwiches and burgers are served with your choice of soup of the day, green salad or fries. I am not vegetarian but have no problem eating tofu, tempeh or veggies. For those on a stricter diet, the vegan offerings are bountiful as well! I highly recommend Field Of Greens for a nice, healthy change of pace! Quote
editor Posted May 3, 2005 Posted May 3, 2005 I've never liked tofu. I try it every couple of years to see if my tastes have changed, and as of February, they haven't. Still, I like those Gardenburgers you get at the grocery store. They don't taste like meat, but they don't taste bad. And the faux chicken version is even better. I think a lot of people avoid vegetarian restaurants because they think they won't have anything they like. But with a little experimentation, a lot of it is OK. Quote
Subdude Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 Had lunch at this place today. I wouldn't say it was the greatest restaurant I've ever been to, but overall it wasn't bad. I have to give them credit for trying to think a little outside the box, instead of just slapping up endless chicken variations like most places. Of course, I'm a tofu-tarian from way back. Quote
