Municipal Court Operations Update

While a computer virus is being repaired, all facilities in the Municipal Courts system remain open, but only limited services are available.

Municipal Court Operations Update

The City of Houston Municipal Courts will resume all court operations and services on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2009 AT 8:00 A.M. at all court locations. Persons scheduled to appear in court and for jury service should report as scheduled.

Continued remediation efforts by the City of Houston IT Department requires that the Municipal Courts postpone all scheduled dockets for Thursday, February 12, 2009.

It's strange that a virus would knock out an entire department like that.

The Chron article mentioned that their virus protection was Panda and Mcafee, not very good advertising for those two. Should have been using Trend Micro.

It's not so strange when one frames that entire segment of our city government as nothing short of slackers, lackeys, wasters, and hairless talking apes. Come on, they likely still have 2 pentium3's running their entire database system. That's probably why it takes forever for them to answer any of your questions over the phone or to print out simple receipts.
