UpperEastSideNewbie
Is Finally Gone, that ugly abandoned gas station at Waco and I-10 We are seeing new town home construction and an increased number of cleared lots along Waco south of I-10 to Clinton Drive close to the upcoming Seventh at Fifth (MDI site) development. http://www.dpz.com/project.aspx?Project_Nu...;type=undefined http://www.houstonarchitecture.info/haif/i...showtopic=11330 Edited December 23, 2008 by UpperEastSideNewbie

NotYetYuppie
PS, This is not considered East End folks . Please not another thread arguing about the boundaries of the East End... UESNewbie, you can call it east end... If it's south of I-10, people are going to call it East End. Even the www.greatereastend.com defines the east end as south of I-10. UpperEastSideNewbie
Thank you NYY, I agree with you that another EE boundaries discussion is not needed here. We're quite happy here north of Buffalo Bayou in the midst of industrial sites, warehouses, charming bungalows and new town homes. We've gotten to know here, south of I-10, a well diversified group of people: artists, professionals, retirees, and people that grew up here - and they all call this area the EAST END. Back to the original thread question, it will be nice to see a new retail shopping center coming to this site, or a two story Starbucks with a drive-thru.
