Vertigo58
These are just two fine examples of the high Baroque period architecture of Espana/Spain. Iglesia de San Fernando: http://travel.webshots.com/album/554863903dKalcX?start=0 El Casino Espanol de Mexico: http://hk.youtube.com/watch?v=UPV-Bdj4JSo&...feature=related Were fortunate enough to participate in some important events at these two places. I am still stunned. Viva Espana!

Vertigo58
Mexico City has a lot of great examples of Baroque. Did you visit the cathedral at the Zocalo?Sure wish I had more time to! I did have fantastic views from my 19 floor room of all of the business district and mountains in the background. I want to describe as much of the architectural experience as possible. I saw some of the most innovative/daring/provacative and historical architecture and art I have seen in years. Here is a link to the Zocalo you mentioned. I could see numerous medieval high gothic steeples/domes and double towers from my window. Grandioso.http://www.brucehermanphotography.com/colonial/bh45.html
