midtown_resident
We've got friends coming in from NYC this wkd - any recommendations on things to do? We've got kids involved - one that's four and one that's turning two - so we're not looking for the nightlife recommendations - more so the daytime, get out and enjoy the weather kind of stuff. Item's on the shortlist already:Hermann Park / Zoo Picnic dayKemah Boardwalk Gotta have a Galleria visit - though if the weather is nice, that will be short or avoided all togetherI've come to believe that this group represents some of teh best knowledge of the in's and out's of houston - so your help is not only appreciated, but necessary! rps324
If kids are involved, what about the children's museum, space center or museum of natural science?Day trip to Galveston to the strand or Moody Gardens?
travelguy_73
Check the Press or the Chron for festivals--spring and fall are full of them and most are a blast to attend.
Aoide
I second the Children's museum although I think you have great choices already. Especially Hermann if the weather is nice.
musicman
I second the Children's museum although I think you have great choices already. Especially Hermann if the weather is nice.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I vote for the Hermann Park area as well. The Kemah Boardwalk is a zoo on the weekends. Lots of walking involved so if there are kids....i'd plan accordingly.
