Woodridge Square Townhomes

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys, I was wondering what your thoughts were on the Woodridge Square Townhomes. They look like nice places but I don't know much about the build quality or the area. I was also told that they are governmental housing. Is this true?

They seem fairly new, maybe been there for about 5 years now? I personally have no info about them but it all depends on the interested party. This would be a great location for a student attending very nearby HCC campus on Rustic for example. This intersection gets very crammed on weekends and around rush hour. I will not comment about the immediate nabe as soom will get offended but take a drive around and use common instinct. This is not where I would raise a family. Schools are low ranking so that tells it. There is a train crossing nearby (north) which nomally cuts people off from other destinations. Bottom line is be very open-minded and open to big time diversity. Govt housing is not normally a real perk in the eyes/ears of some. Hope they never lower the rates as that normally brings in well.... :)

Low end Perry Homes. Make sure these have ridge vents and radiant barrier. Those items can be added but it demonstrates the basic stuff that Perry doesn't usually do because most buyers don't know to require it.

This is where I'm from, Ingrando Park.

Sure, move in there, just don't leave the townhome community. And don't walk around at night. And don't wear too much red.

(2/06/07 - KTRK/HOUSTON) (KTRK) -- If you looked around your community tomorrow, would you be able to spot the local gang members? They could be on your street, even living in your house. Houston police tell us they use dress or signs to identify themselves. But do you know how to identify them?

It's a typical afternoon and HISD police officer Richard Guitierrez is off to his closing rounds. He is a member of HISD's gang task force.

"Sometimes you'll get word something is going to happen at a certain location," he told us as we rode along.

And on this day, he did -- a possible fight at Milby High School.

"One of them may have a weapon," he said.

So Guitierrez speeds to the scene.

"He advised that all the individuals who ran to the other side of the bridge are 'Cholos,'" said Guitierrez.

The Cholos is a well-known gang around Milby High School. In the meantime, another HISD officer, Cpl. Adolf Saenz has someone detained across from the school grounds. While Saenz questions him, he also takes note of how he's dressed.

"He's throwing red, throwing a blood set," said Saenz. "Black and red and the terminology for that is blacks love all Crip killers."

That could pose a serious problem since the southeast Crips call this their neighborhood and in case you didn't know, they wear blue.

Require? Quite a few roof designs wouldn't receive adequate venting if ridge vents were used. the roof style is what dictates how to vent it.

I grew up in the east end area off of broadmoor and telephone. Been there for about 15+ years. I am looking for a place aroud the same area. I have some friends that live near mason park of 75th and magnolia so I know the area a little.

i better stay on the dl then. B) a good friend from UH has owned a home over there since the early 90's. back then you would hear bullets, now even the police officers say that the problems in other areas are worse.

A shooting last Wednesday has left residents in a Houston community more fearful.

KHOU - TV

Makeshift memorial sits where man was shot and killed at Ingrando Park in Houston's East End.

People who live near Ingrando Park in Houston's East End say crime is tearing their neighborhood apart.

Tuesday, a makeshift memorial sits at the sit of a deadly shooting last week.

It happened in the middle of the day and several schools in the East End area were placed on lockdown.

Also online Shooting report

Deady Middle School was one of those schools near the park.

According to police, shots were fired around 11 in the morning.

Fourty-year-old Raymond Hernandez was reportedly sitting on a bench near the basketball courts at Ingrando Park when he was struck in the head.

He later died in the hospital.

Investigators said witnesses saw a small beige or tan car driving by before the shooting.

They reportedly told police the passenger in the car stuck his hand out of the window and fired the shots that hit Hernandez.

Nearby resident said Ingrando Park has a history of gang activity and drug dealing.

They say gunfire is not unusual in this neighborhood so they're coming together to talk about solutions.

"Part of our goal here is to empower. Not to close the door, but to open up to work together to take action on behalf of the community," said Will Reed, Pastor at Mission Milby United Methodist Church.

The town meeting will be held at Pastor Reed's Church at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

It's located at at 2220 Broadway.

Organizers hope everyone from the East End neighborhood will attend.

The church is just blocks from where Hernandez was fatally shot.

Police still don't know what prompted the shooting nor do they have any suspects.
