KRIV (Channel 26) will launch weekday afternoon newscasts at 5 and 5:30 p.m., beginning Aug. 18, giving Houston viewers a fourth English-language newscast option at 5 and their only local option opposite the network newscasts at 5:30.

So, it replaces the Simpsons and Malcolm in the Middle. That works. H-town Media is growing. I guess they had to 1-up KHCW's move to expand the 9:00 p.m. news.

The news will replace "The Simpsons"??? Bad move. "The Simpsons" is the shiznizzle.

The Simpsons are bumpable. It's appointment television, so the majority of those who watch the Simpson will follow it. Or because of the demographic it attracts, DVR it.
