Jax
Check out the mega graffiti job near Tacos A Go-Go. Too bad this block can't be something nicer than a huge graffiti canvas. The next block with the Continental Club, and Sig's Laggoon, Julia's, and Tacos A-Go-Go is awesome though. http://www.houstonarchitecture.info/haif/gallery/1203460243/gallery_3613_63_399176.jpg

Jeebus
Great fish-eye. Is this a lens or photoshop?I drove by there last night and thought it would make for some great pictures or even stock video footage for a later project.Good eye! wernicke
Off-topic, but my gf and I went to Julia's last weekend... the food and the service were awesome. This little block is pretty neat, I don't understand why the areas around it haven't developed at all. Jax
My only problem with Julia's is that the view out of most of the windows are towards the less developed side, and you end up looking at empty lots, which isn't the best view in my opinion (although I guess its not a whole lot worse than sitting in a strip center with a view of the parking lot). I also find it strange that the one block is pretty well developed and popular, while the surrounding blocks are either empty (to the south) or abandoned (to the north). It seems like the abandoned mega graffiti building could be turned into something nice without investing in a new structure, unless the building has some kind of major structural problem.I think I read something about a medical tower being built on the empty block next to Julia's, but it still hasn't happened.
