VicMan
I noticed in the August 6, 2007 press release ( http://blogs.chron.com/schoolzone/2007/08/...say_it_but.html ) that Pilgrim Elementary School had its name changed to Pilgrim Academy......and that the school will include grades 6, 7, and 8.Will this take pressure off of Grady? I would assume that most of the apartment kids at Grady originate from the Pilgrim zone (especially since a group of apartments south of Westheimer, formerly zoned to Briargrove, were rezoned to Pilgrim). Here is a schooldigger population chart for Pilgrim: http://www.schooldigger.com/go/TX/schools/...555/school.aspx* And here is one for Grady: http://www.schooldigger.com/go/TX/schools/...271/school.aspxThe Pilgrim zone is here: http://dept.houstonisd.org/ab/schoolbounda...s/PilgrimES.pdfThe OLD Pilgrim zone (before the rezoning) is here: http://dept.houstonisd.org/ab/schoolbounda...s/PilgramES.pdfThe Grady zone is here: http://dept.houstonisd.org/ab/schoolboundarymaps/GradyMS.pdf Edited September 19, 2007 by VicMan
VicMan
Grady will no longer be an option for people in Pilgrim ES attendance zone. That means Briargrove/St. George Place/Tanglewood folks will have Grady to themselves!Guys, tell KatieDid right away and tell her to get a bottle of champagne! Overseas
Grady will no longer be an option for people in Pilgrim ES attendance zone. That means Briargrove/St. George Place/Tanglewood folks will have Grady to themselves!Guys, tell KatieDid right away and tell her to get a bottle of champagne!I wonder if this is also designed to make Grady an outlet for the Walnut Bend/Briargrove Park kids rather than going to Paul Revere, since that school hit the skids once West Briar MS opened up. VicMan
Overseas, I would not be surprised. The mother of one of my friends from the Dairy Ashford area said that many Walnut Bend area parents became alarmed when West Briar MS filled. Now the Dairy Ashford people and Uptown people will get to share a school. To show Paul Revere's changes, I found this SchoolDigger map:* http://www.schooldigger.com/go/TX/schools/...496/school.aspxAnd here is West Briar:* http://www.schooldigger.com/go/TX/schools/...271/school.aspx
