chrisngrod
I searched and no one had mentioned this place before it seems. Do you guys remember the miniature golf, arcade, and rides here? There was an area where the arcade is now, an entrance to the upstairs area by the food court, and one entrance to the upstairs along the main hall.

Vertigo58
Coincidentally, I walked right in front of this area last Saturday and it sounded and looked like tons of fun. I also noticed the neat carousel. Too bad other malls dont do the same. Not sure why this is under historic though? Maybe move to entertainment topics area? No, that is the new stuff, there was a much larger indoor complex back in the early to mid 90's. It is gone now. This topic should stay. MadMax
Exhilarama....Kids' Kingdom...and Outer Limits....they were all there. Exhilarama was near the food court....Kids' Kingdom was upstairs near the center of the wing that now leads to the ice rink...and Outer Limits was generally where the ice rink is now. Kids' Kingdom was for little children...Outer Limits had batting cages and a roller rink....Exhilirama had virtual reality games and other activities that catered to an older segment. I worked the batting cages at Outer Limits one summer! The next year I had a summer job as a sort of bookkeeper/cash control for these. We had a big safe locked away in a safe room guarded by alarms and cameras, near where the mall offices used to be. I would sit back there and let in the cashiers...count back their tills at night for deposit...make tills for them to take out...and then go on "token runs" where I'd grab the money out of the token machines with a security guard escort. Great job for a kid. I read...listened to the Astros on the radio...but it was creepy being the very last to leave the mall at night after counting all the tills. Walking through an empty mall at night, I kept expecting to hear a chainsaw start up!
stan the man
I remember going there in the early 90's.So do I...I went there many times when it was Jungle Jim's, Kids Kingdom, and Exhilirama. I forget the various rides, but I recall that Exhilirama catered to an older crowd compared to the other two and had a darker-colored theme.Of course, this was when Memorial City was in a state of flux...this was when Town & Country was the "it" mall on the west side. Then T&C later sat on a tollway, had a great fall, and all the landlords and all the marketers couldn't put T&C together again.Collectively, I frequented Memorial City, Town & Country, Sharpstown, West Oaks and Westwood as a kid. That all changed when First Colony opened when I was 9.
TheBez
OMG . . . I went roller skating at Fame City when they were at MCM. That was back in the day when they still had Monkey Wards (which always looked like a tornado hit it) and all the fountains that made the mall stinky
