Trae
How often does this happen up there? I don't wish anything bad like this on Dallas. The Mavericks have a game tonight, too.
houstonmacbro
Not exactly sure how often it happens, but safe to say frequently. Dallas and Ft. Worth metroplex are more in the tornado zone (not sure if it is considered the classic 'tornado alley'?) than Houston. Nevertheless, they say it is gonna be pretty bad and additionally, it is supposed to move south towards Houston later this evening and overnight. Eeek! houstonmacbro
TONIGHT: A cold front will work from west to east through Houston overnight. A line of thunderstorms will barrel through southeast texas most likely between 11pm and 2am. The biggest threat from these storms will be strong winds and hail, with isolated tornadoes possible. Evening temperatures will hover near 70 with overnight lows near 64.
JLWM8609
Looks like from the news, the brunt of the storm should be passing to the north of the Houston area, Grimes Co, Montgomery, Liberty, etc..
