The brick and cement board-sided homes have been designed to resemble ”the classic brownstones of other metropolitan cities like London, New York and Chicago,” sales director Karen Travelstead said in a statement. The gated project — Studemont Heights — is at 2900 Hicks at Studemont. Prices will start in the mid-$500,000s. Each house will have a least 2,200 square feet with three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. Construction is set to start this month, with the first homes to be done this summer. The builder is also making progress on another nearby residential development that will have 51 homes when it’s completed. The company has sold five homes so far in the first phase of construction, which is under way and will include eight homes. The property is between Tulane and Ashland in The Heights on the former site of Semasys Printing Co.
