Wow that would be an enormous waste of that site. Especially once Post finishes its expansion- it would be a mirror image of the horrible little CVS on the East side of one of the more walkable developments in the city.

I don't think we're in quite the same situation as Detroit. Part of Downtown's problem is simply lack of housing stock. I would love to live downtown, particularly once Phoenicia opens, but there just isn't anywhere for me to live. The Downtown infrastructure is improving steadily, and the additional light rail lines will help minimize some of the compromises involved in living there, so I hope a wider range of housing will start going up. One Park Place is a nice start, but there needs to be a broad range of options including stuff that might be affordable for students. There is so much vacant land still that I wouldn't even object to townhouses in the southeast corner.

Luckily increased density is exactly what this city needs. I would love to see some new development along Richmond; that road is starting to just get sad. Come back Pro! Come back Decades!

Thank you; I'm strangely tempted to memorize that site. Overall parking requirements do seem somewhat...excessive across the board.

The city requires 8 spaces per 1000 square feet? That's absolutely insane. Is it a flat requirment or does it differ depending on type of business?

I'm pretty sure what you're seeing is a street level entrance going underneath a few floors of apartments.

It would be preferable to see this go up inside the loop, but it should contribute to the urban-ness of the greater Uptown area, which will be great for the sort of people who hang out in Uptown.

That could be great, as long as they are respectful of the building's chinatown style.

I am happy to see this being built, but that rendering does not instill much confidence.

Honestly that...actually looks pretty good. It will be interesting to see if the Uptown project actually looks anything like that.
