Drove by yesterday afternoon and noticed the parking lot was packed with vehicles and an excavator was on site.

With the Chase Tower cam down again today, I have a feeling wherever this thing is, it might not be the best place for it 

And I think they knocked it over again...

My guess is that it wasn't properly resecured after the first time the window washers knocked it down

I don't understand why this isn't even available in at least 720p. Seems a little a waste to present such a nice virtual video and only upload it to 360p 

And it's in the middle of nowhere. Doesn't synergize with anything.

Is the same to be said about 2727 Kirby since it is only 30 stories and further from either 610 or 59 than 2929 Weslayan? To me this is more noticeable than 2727 Kirby by far.

The time lapse of this in the next 2 years will be pretty impressive to watch

I hope there is some sort of creative measure I am missing because I'm sure they spent tons of money trying to decide the logo and walked away with the top of their building with lines connecting corners on it. Bravo guys... Bravo 

Yes, it is preliminary. But preliminary, conceptual designs should be aspirational. When they get developed, reality kicks in and takes the magic away. This one doesn't have any magic to begin with.

Yup... Reality didn't so much kick in for Embassy Suites, it slapped each and every one of us across the face

I honestly didn't see the crane move at all this past week. I still stand by what I said before that I feel BHP will beat Astoria to it's final height, even though BHP is still below grade.

They are preparing to put up the second crane this weekend

Like I said earlier (but was mocked about "and cars will fly" which was funny) these one story strip centers and box stores are obsolete. The land values are dictating more dense use of the land.

Yes you are right that in due time strip centers and box stores will become obsolete in these high traffic, high concentration areas. The part that I found redundant and comical was the, "not sure when but it will happen" addition. In due time everything we want to happen in this city will, whether it be in our lifetime or 100-200 years plus.

This is certainly a very hot piece of property. I'm surprised Icon Bank/AT&T across the street was able to renovate and that property wasn't taken for better usage as well.

The construction camera must have one of the dirtiest lenses I've seen. As long as I have been looking at it, it never has been able to get a good shot without tons of glare and smudge
