  1. Those are still fair. I know a score people who think Med Center is downtown.
  2. I was in the study when I heard my daughter gave a shrieking yell upon seeing the H&R Block one-eyed-people ad. I only saw the last part but can't get it off my mind since last week. Now who will dash to H&R to go do their taxes after seeing that? Who approved it? There is another one from Sprint (I think) with texting, talking thumbs made up of people's heads. Just creepy.
  3. Whoever buy SiriusXM's shares is a moron. Most of their subscription is thru sale of new cars, and so far I've not seen anoyne who renewed after the introductory period. What do I need satellite radio for when the car comes with 6 CD player, local radio, I have an ipod and a laptop, and I don't live in the car.
  4. When people get out of Memorial Hermann 2 blocks south, they will come to that complex, turn in their prescriptions and get a sandwich while their meds are being filled. Plus they will get all those little household stuff at CVS instead of making another trip to Target. I think.
  5. Hey does anyone know where I can get current court schedule? I use city of Houston site, going thru 'pay a fine' link and it's still showing Wednesday Feb 11. Court docket records is also not updated this week.
  6. I got the day off on Wednesday to defend a ticket I got in Dec 07, and now I got to work to read this thread. isn't that sweet?
  7. Sure they do. But do they need more than common sense to see those flaws?
  8. UST will make some sense if they move the school to Old Spanish Trail.
  9. As far as I'm concerned daily mail delivery is an overkill. Four times a week is okay. If you run a business and need mails daily, get a mailbox, or pay extra. Another thing, I will gladly pay a dollar for regular mail because it's worth that, and more. Lastly, communal mailbox has advantages ten times more than door delivery.
  10. All of Brazoria county's roads are named now. They are all Airline-Ft Bend something, according to google maps. I will search for some official docs to confirm.
  11. I found myself at Westheimer and Kirkwood this morning and instead of going back to I-10 to do 80mph to 610, i decided to inspect this picture. I don't know any setting or perspective that will naturally produce that photo. The photo'd been shrunk. But that stretch is also u-u-uglyyy. I did enjoyed the coasting though, catching no red light from Kirkwood until i veered right to W Alabama in the Galleria. Two bad things: my wife's navi system kept yelling at me to go use Westpark tollway and one woman that looks like sefvif's avatar left her pointer on, yapping on the phone and wonder why I flashed my headlights at her.
  12. They deliver high-risk babies in there. this "baby" will have his scheduled delivery on time and in good health, as long as there are those 1 in a million pediatric diseases milling around. When I have the time to learn how to post pictures here, I will visually update you on this fetus' milestones.
  13. The sweet part to me is how easy it is to update top off the card.
  14. Looks a little like Houston too with that Sam Houston statue and 5 Houston Center building
  15. I once lived inside the Beechnut, 59, BW8 triangle. There is no hour that you don't see flashing lights. for the less than four months I lived there my friend and I had 6 crime encounters.
  16. Actually two. And I think one is enough. The only times I've seen them used is when there's a wreck and people need to turn around.
  17. Are you talking about the HEB on Beechnut and BW 8?
  18. Thanks FordGuy. Just gave them a piece of my mind.
  19. Proximity to city center is helping Pearland a lot. I am starting to real signs of recession in the nabes, but that's still way better than the rest of the country. Nonetheless I still think Sedona Lakes' developer is either for another world, is high on something, mint his own money or I am too pessimistic about the economy.
  20. I believe it's just January crunch hitting a little harder this year. As for the restaurants, they will feel just a liitle of this recession and only for a short period. Healthcare will feel nothing at all.
  21. Sedona Lakes is in Manvel, not Alvin. What problems has Rodeo Palms.
  22. Get set for snobbery galore at Best Buy, and higher prices too.
