  1. I am sure it can be quantified in terms of academic performance and alumni donations but you can google things just as easily as I could. From what I've heard UH doesn't a strong alumni association.
  2. Gets more students involved with UH, more school pride, closer ties to UH, etc. Having came from Texas State U. where they require all freshman to live on campus it does really make the "college experience" more worthwhile. Has anyone heard about UHs tier 1 status? Any updates?
  3. ^ I hope it still looks like that. Of course I would like something better but compared to many of the ES I've seen, this one looks decent. Plus its not completely a box.
  4. How tall will this tower be compared to OPP? I'm terrible at gauging heights.
  5. I hope this project ends up looking like the rendering on the website: GrayCo. It doesn't look too flashy but seems to blend in well in my opinion looking at the rendering.
  6. I know what you mean, Hess Tower seems to be shooting up but MainPlace is bigger.
  7. I would take Braeswood if I was going from Westbury to Medical Center. I would say around 20-30 minutes if you are leaving around 7.

Personally, I think once Houston has its core light rail, along with our park&ride, we'll have a transit system superior to Dallas's.
  9. Wow we are you moving from where you are willingly to commute 2 hours one way? Unless you are saying you work from 730AM to 530PM. I'd give it less than an hour one way just to be safe while you get used to the commute the first week or so. According to musicman's link the average travel time from 99 to 610 will be less than 30 minutes though and that's a little bit longer commute.
  10. Indeed, but I wouldn't expect this to go undeveloped, given it location, for too long. Seems it just really depends on the economy.
  11. I didn't realize HP was going to have an office complex. Is it only one building?
  12. I think the main problem with adding more residents to downtown is that uptown is where most of the high-rises are being built. Hopefully, the light rail line will make uptown into a pedestrian environment. I don't think Downtown will surpass Uptown in residents.
