  1. And the Episcopal near HCC serves brown bag dinners.... It's bumtastic!
  2. The summer heat is frying thier brain making them aggressive. We need a cold front!
  3. You know, Search never looked that bad. I think Search shoos them away. The Search building is kinda cool. Very East Block. There are also a couple of other half-way houses near by. One at Tuam and Austin and another on La Branch. Throw in a little Club Houston action is it's a receipie for disaster.
  4. The police have tolerated them at Hadley & San Jacinto for years. Just like they do with the male toots at San Jacinto & Tuam. I once had HPD tell me "y'all need to move. It's just not safe down here".
  5. Speaking of Yankees, here's a quote from the NY Times. Kinkaid should put this in his pipe and smoke it:
  6. Jax, Dump your ball and chain and 'ya never know'.
  7. Lots of tree movement in Houston lately (Disco Green/Fingers, UH, Rice). That's a sign of progress, though. Just a few years ago they would have been cut and cleared.
  8. Hmmm.... Sounds like the smoking room at Blunt Bros. in Vancouver. The BC Bud will blend right in.
  9. Does she really own "tons of land" in the warehouse district, or is that just urban folklore. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/5068000.html
  10. SO the baseball team must be tools, too! Go Yankees! FYI - 1100 Louisana never enforeces the 25 ft. rule.
  11. Let the Yankess run their city as they see fit. Texas is not NYC. Thank God.
  12. Where is ole mean Kinkaid when you need him? He did an excellent job of educating Niche on this a while back. I guess Niche forgot his lesson already since he's quoting the lame old textbook in his head.
  13. Compaq merged becuase the CEO (Capellas) threw in the towel. I'll never forget meeting HP's Carly Fiona. They asked us to wear "Texan Gear" when she came to campus after the merger was complete. Man, that was hokey, and I am a native. I was on the "White Room" integration teams. Blood was everywhere. And of course, Capellas and Fiona are both history. But I still love my HP computer!
  14. Well the location does beat what lies along the Beltway between 249 and 290. That makes greater Tomball look like Manhattan.
  15. The question is, who wants to locate their company way out there? It's not exactly an easy place to get to unless all your employees live in the neighborhood. It made sense for Compaq, but if I were CEO, greater Tomball would be the last place I'd put my company.
  16. It's a sad day. I cut my teeth in CCA14 in the eCommerce heyday. HP is still there. This is only four buildings out of many. And to get technical, these four were part of the original Compaq campus. Not HP.
  17. My plan is for all non-smokers to only drink at places like Chotchkie's, Friday's or Chilis. Leave the real bars for the real drinkers.
  18. The answer to my question: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/5051515.html It'll be up to patrons, bars to ban smoking City will not beef up tactics for enforcement
  19. Speaking of the Secret Smokers Society, who in the heck is going to enforce this ban? Non-smoking Poindexter snitches? Do they call 911 if they see someone smoking?
  20. We all know the smokers are the real drinkers. The rest are just pansy-arse posers and a waste of space as far as bar owners are concerned. The bar owners need the real drinkers to stay in business.
  21. I still think the bars will lose a lot of business. Especially since the alergic poindexters who avoided bars due to smoke don't even go out in the first place. It's not like they will suddenly show up. They'll continue to stay home on weekends reading WebMD.com
  22. But it makes for a fun afternoon with a Super Soaker. You bums jump higher than a scared cat.
  23. So now the bars will be full of asthmatics and people who are allergic to smoke? Who wants to hang with those lame freaks? I bet they are also alergice to peantus.
