  1. Thanks for the update RegentSquare! I am excited about the project but am also curious about how well the hotel portion will do. While the I am sure the residential/retail will be a hit, not so sure about how much traffic a hotel would get.
  2. That would be sweet. I don't even ice skate but I sure as heck would go check it out.
  3. lol @ Vertigo. And btw, HPD showed up in under 10 mins!
  4. My friends who got held up at gunpoint this Tuesday night while going to Howl at the Moon said the two guys told them "god bless you" after they took all my friends money. At least these guys are thankful...
  5. Wow, thanks for the info. Pretty interesting statistics.
  6. We went to this place on Tuesday night for our end of semester party. It was a lot of fun and is really a nice bar. They have done a nice job. The only drawback was some of our friends got held up at gun point right around the block as they were walking in.
  7. I had lunch today at the Park Shops and there were tons of younger kids with t-shrits on from different schools so somehthing had to be going on at GRB. The UT basketball team was eating there too and I saw a couple of them buying stuff at the Radio Shack in there. (every little bit helps to boost downtown merchants!) And I also saw the Macy's bags all over the place so it looks like they had a good weekend too.
  8. I agree, the walk from GRB str8 to the HP is all surface lots...it would be great if the ES gets built and somebody develops the other lots.
  9. I just noticed that the HP will have a Pete's Dueling Piano Bar. When I lived in Dallas we would drive all the way from Uptown to Addison just to go to this place and it was always packed. It should draw a lot of the midtown folks into the Pavilions. When they opened the one up in downtown Fort Worth the line was out the door for months. btw, been reading the board for a few months now and finally joined, really enjoy the discussions. (Especially the ones about downtown since that is where I live and go to school.) I have been in Houston for 2 years now and love it.
