Whatever happened to Steve Wyatt?
holden replied to KimberlySayWhat's topic in General Houston Discussions
My brother parties with him every now and then. He got married. Him and his wife Kate have two beautiful little kids, Ford and Katherine. The talk about Ferge is history. -
I agree. I went to the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. If Houston is having a hard enough time with everyday traffic, they won't survive the Olympics. For example, my hotel was 15 minutes away from the main stadiaum and it took me at least 3 hrs to get there cause there was so many people. There was hardly any slums and the city was simply beautiful. They had the Red Rock and the Sydney Opera House, which makes Houston's Jones Hall very small. No offense, I love Houston, but the city is not strong enough for the Olympics. The beaches .... was soooo beautiful. The sand was so white I thought it was snow. Galveston could never compete.

I lived in Pecan Grove with my parents when i was in high and college. we lived right on the golf course. It was pretty cool. The people are really nice and the country club is cool. They had to rebuild the club about 15 yrs agao bc they had a really bad fire. Luckly no one was hurt, but the place was badly damage. I would recommend it to anybody who have a family to raise.

I go to Horsch Tire and Services out in Richmond, Tx. Its right across the street from the courthouse. Their number is 281.342.4410.. the owner is Jim Horsch and he been there since 1974. Very reasonable in prices too.

Is It Me Or Is Sugar Land Getting Too Rich For Me?
holden replied to chechnya's topic in Points Southwest
I grew up in Sugarland, and I rememeber it being nothing but farmers land and rice fields. Not anymore. When I think of Sugarland, i think of The Woodlands.. Just look at First Colony Mall with its trendy little shops. Things are changing drastically out in Ft Bend Co. -

Traffic congestion increases in most metro areas
holden replied to musicman's topic in Traffic and Transportation
The medical center is the worst place for public transportation.. I work there and i dread going to the hospital b/c of the traffic. But the parking for employees is very expensive that public transportation IS the only way to go. -
