i know that there is a stale proposal in downtown called franklin towers that are supposed to be twin 33 story towers. could they have just renamed the project to sage plaza?

oh. well this was my first time going around downtown to take pics and look at all the sites. so, yeah, the sign was new to me!

this will look great being in close proximity to Mainplace and the older part of downtown that it will look amazing. kind of like if Heritage Plaza wasn't there, Wells Fargo probably wouldn't look as nice. this will make both buildings compliment each other like Heritage Plaza and Wells Fargo.

whats the building between OPP and embassy suites? i thought that was 6HC.

well, Mainplace is 1 million sq.ft. and its 47 stories. so 1500 smith probably isnt too much shorter than Mainplace.

wouldnt the four office buildings be Mainplace, 6 Houston Center, Discovery Tower, and... crap, i dont know the other one; there is either OPP, Embassy Suites, and the La Quinta. but they are all hotel/condo towers (the last 3 mentioned). oh wait, maybe they are also counting the 11 story building that is apart of Houston Pavilions.

drove by again. it really looks like only ten oaks (trees) will be left. ten oaks is the proposal of the expansion of the energy corridor and the hospital.

alright peeps, i drove by the site yesturday and there was a utility truck with some guys putting on orange ribbon on trees. i think the trees with the ribbon are getting cut down. and there was also a lil bit of cleared land. but dont quote me on the cleared land part.

at skyscraperpage.com, in the texas/south central, houston update, a map says that the property hines bought is where city center is supposed to go. is hines building it or is city center a bust and they took the property for thier own new thing?

so could this still be built or not?

i've known for a while now that texas childrens hospital was planning on builing thier west campus at barker-cyress and i-10 near park row. it is across the street from the new bally center and i noticed they put a new sign up saying "Texas Childrens Hospital- West Campus". its a big red sign with thier logo on it. anyone have any details or the scoop of when they are going to start on this?

im not talking about discovery tower. if you look at the photoshop pic, it has Houston Pavilions, Embassy Suites, One Park Place, Discovery Green/Tower, Mainplace, and one other building that is in between HP, ES, and OPP. thats the building i was talking about and i just assumed it was 6HC. now that i know its not, then what is it?

where did you get a rendering of HC6? i'd like to see it if i can.

then why isnt mainplace in front of one park place? and it still doesnt have a pic and neither does discovery green.
