  1. It is free for you to use Dave's services to get into your new house, so I'd definitely work with him on that end as well. He is a seasoned agent and can help you possibly get upgrades and other perks you may not be able to get on your own. Though he is paid by the builder, his loyalty is to you. Good luck!
  2. Mr. Olajuwon, please preserve that wonderful piece of history so that all of Houston may benefit.
  3. The deal that was made for the mall was a partnership between Simon and the Mills Corp.--anything can change now. I gotta tell ya, I don't even know if that mall or the Westside Marketplace is even gonna happen anyway--they (Simon) haven't had a press release regarding it since 2005 and nothing else has happened out there.
  4. Some Canadian group is set to acquire Mills Corp....didn't catch the name on the news though.
  5. Wow, I just looked at photos from sixflagshouston.com and I just can't believe they tore down all those terrific trees.
  6. It would almost make sense for a Busch Gardens to appear here, considering the business ties to Houston Budweiser has. Apparently, there was a Busch Gardens here at one point, but not any rides or anything, just gardens as it originally was.
  7. George Strait, every time! I think I have only missed him once or twice since I was 16.
  8. What a trip. I had that map hanging in my closet. That definitely was one of their best years.
  9. Man, I remember when they couldn't GIVE those things away. *shakes head* They seem about what is going on in Galveston these days!
  10. Yes! It was later The Ocean Club. I remember people talking about that!
  11. Congrats Mark, that looks like a terrific example of Life Forms' excellent use of space!! Is that over there off of Rush Haven/Flintridge?

  13. Thanks sweetie pie!! I needed that today :-)

  14. TJ, YES! I never did it (not then, anyway LOL), but I do remember the months leading up to the law change, what a weird time that was at that club. I bet we knew each other in our former lives
  15. Yes westguy, that was SkyScreamer--OMG! Freaked me out!! I had many good memories, but unfortunately, one time I was there on a day that I wasn't supposed to be (my mother expressly told me not to go), and when I came home I found out my father died. I only went one time after that, needless to say it was not the same. I am sad that it is gone though.
  16. Hey wasn't Red Square the former Homage? I think I went there a few times.
  17. OMG seriously! I was 17 in '87 so it was hard to get into some places, but for the most part, I could do it. It was a big deal to go "into Houston" from Kingwood. It was awesome! I liked 6400 early on, but ick to later. I liked Xcess better. NRG had the best music, IMHO. Numbers sorta scared me, but I guess that's why I liked it so much. I saw Nine Inch Nails there with the Jim Rose Side Show in 1987 (I think it was '87). I almost got trampled!! Clubland, if I could get in, definitely. Decadance was harder to get into for some reason. I guess the bouncers were getting into trouble letting us in. I went to the Ocean Club ONE time. That was all that was needed. I remember Red Square, Club Some and Power Tools. Gads, the names of these places! Mid to late '90s I was going to Rich's all the time. Heaven, JR's, and Pacific Street too. I was a huge hag and we had quite an entourage. Lots of drinks, lots of other things. Not much to be proud of, but it was fun!
  18. I went to Lifetime Fitness with some friends out at Cinco Ranch, and they are definitely looking to drive out YMCA's and similar. They are very family oriented.
  19. I loved the Great Greek on Gessner & Westheimer, I went there on a first date with one of my first boyfriends. So good! The best thing about going to Marshall Field's cafe in the Galleria: Silver Satin Cake! It was wedding cake, so good!
