    I like it. I thought from some of the post it was just going to be a tall box. It is simple but has class. In some cases simple is better.

    So glad to see a rendering of it! That is nice and I like how it just stands out from the other towers. It looks so futuristic to me. Nice add to the skyline.

    He is not building this to lose money or make a small profit. The units wont be cheap with or with out the plaza. Got to spend money to make money, and he would have payed a bit more for the street.

    The city could have got just a little more money from this. He really wanted this built and with all the people who did not want it, he may have given up more cash for the street. A few post up it says he will get over 2mil for people who want first pick(if all 600 pay 4,000$) and it is not even under construction yet.

    Have not read this topic in a while and still no rendering. X did you draw those? Nice drawings but I hope Hines does not look like that tower.

    I ment apart the Three big ones:NFL,MLB,NBA. MLS is not in there. Beckham made the front cover of SI but it was only him. The story I read on the front cover was Venus Williams and Roger Federer and their recent wins at Wimbledon.

    McLane should not be worried because the Astros are in the the Big leauages and Dynamo arent. If it is about winning then the Rockets and Stros would have us on Roller Coasters A Texans game will never see a sell out and the Teams we will watch are the Comets and the Dynamo. And WHEN the Dynamo get big it should only help McLane and the Downtown area.

    WOW! That is a beautiful temple. This is the Frist time I heard or seen it. Houston has nice religious structures.

    I dont know why this is my favorite project in Houston but it is. When West Ave. is up in 2009 I'll have to come back to see if I dont stay in Houston for collage. Nice video

    Wells is coming back to play for the Roxs next year, will this help or hurt them since he is playing for his old coach? Since we do have the Kings old coach could we get bibby with the rockets salary cap, cause Alston should not be a starter if you want to get out 1st round.

    Really hope this gets built. I love whats going on in Houston if this gets built like it is in the renderings and with all the other projects in Downtown, DT will be the place to be. Here is some info and a map about the TIRZ areas in Houston.

    I could not agree more. Downtown is growing and with this stadium it is going to bring more money and people into downtown. I hope it is another retractable stadium that stands out and people know its in Houston like the Skydome in Toronto. Is that asking to much for a soccer team because the only timed I watched them was when they won the championship and have not watched them since.

    I always liked riding/walking through 4th ward because of the narrow streets and the brick ones. Seeing all the new development mixed with the old and historic buildings in 4th ward really give it a neat feel. Addind more cafes and small retail will make this place even better. Just hope they wont get rid of all the old buildings.

    Its only on hold, but I felt like the project will be cancled or scaled down greatly. Its a shame I really liked this High Street project. Might sound stupid to some, but I always thought it could have been something like SOHO in New York. I thought it was going to be cancled because I could not find it on Google.

    I don't want Houston to mess up its skyline with neon lighting. That means it's begging for attention like Dubai and Vegas. They have a beautiful skylines but just because you can do some of those things does not mean you should. When looking at downtown during the playoffs It was like I could see downtown but could not see it, it was just a big blurr. Downtown could really use some nice classy lighting that would make it look like people were there. And was it just me or did the TNT camra crew show more views of 59 South than the Downtown skyline?

    Houston has more students than Texas Tech? If it is the third largest in Texas then I thought wrong about UH.

    I thought they were going to make that macys apartments or something like that. The Galleria is already one of the biggest malls in America but we should make it the biggest, I mean everything in Texas is bigger, with that being said how much room is there to expand? We could always go up like some of the new malls in China.
