  1. it was only a tounge in cheek jab. i have a twisted sense of humor and a bad spelling habit as well. hope you can see the humor in it. i'll also say thanks for helping out. we houstonians have a chance to really make a difference. Im heading down to the astrodome tommorow. well today i guess. late night here as well.
  2. i was intrigued when I read "realiator". I thought it would be some sort of morph between a realtor and a gladiator. Hed fight you over the sales price! Might make for a good movie...
  3. frankly, i missed the joke when i first read it. i didnt mean to be so frank with you. sorry i guess ill go jefe off!
  4. the retail will be in the base of both buildings, fronting the street. The retail storefronts will be more energized than it may show in the rendering. hopefully the retail will be a draw for the residential, im thinking a cafe and some services.
  5. http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/m...politan/3322833 There was a news segment on fox last night, and a chron story today breaking the news about this project. They have asked for $ from the city and the people I know with the city are excited and ecouraged to see this project happen.
  6. I can promise you that this one is happening. Groundbreaking is set for October. If you drive by you can see the sales / leasing center. One of the towers will be for lease and will be built immediately; the other tower will be condo. Both the garage and 1 acre amenity deck will go up with the first tower (for lease). Hopefully they will have enough presales to build the second tower (condo) at the same time. I know ill be buying a unit if that helps.

  8. its 23 acres and covers all of the dirt including the Eatzi's center and the Saks pavillion. It doesn't span across san Felipe. This is the right time and place for this project. It is happening. Downtown and Midtown will get theirs in good time.
  9. just fyi, that rendering above is years old and was only of the Saks site (you can see the cafe Annie / eatzis center to the right). Although the development will be mixed-use and very dense, this is not it. looks cool though And they are working on something like this for downtown, the Houston Pavillions (mentioned in another thread somewhere).
  10. one tower will be condos and one will be for lease. This will also make the financing for the whole project easier to accomplish. units will be small and affordable. more to come...
  11. h-d is correct, but the rents would need to be a bit higher to get the density that both camden and midtown want. dont expect to see anything anytime soon, but dont lose hope either
  12. Good to hear. Its actualy not the first, but theres alot more to follow. Stallones is open, Corner Bakery and Wolfgang Pucks's are being worked on.
  13. im just saying that that rendering was released last year and i know that that wont be whats done. I have no idea when something will happen to this building, but it sure doesnt make financial sense for someone to buy it and demo the building, youd be better off buying raw land near it and building ground up. someone will ultimatly convert it into condos or something.
  14. dont worry, when something happens to this building, it wont look like that rendering.
  15. Your block numbers are correct. The project also encompasses the parking garage on main to the south which will lower construction costs. From what I hear, the project WONT be connected to the tunels, which I think is great in getting activity on the street level.
  16. lets not forget the 4,000 people living downtown, 10,000 people in midtown, 20,000 others along the rail and tourism.
