I noticed that AT&T just installed Fiber line into the entrance of my subdivision ...........so what will this be for.....?

South Grand Parkway drivers:

For those of us that drive south on Grand Parkway to 90A or Hwy 59 and back everyday, the addition of the Kroger's at Mason (Waterside Estates) and the Wal-mart and Lowe's at Bellarie will be a blessing. I am so tired of fighting the traffic at HEB and Home Depot on Fry.

Hopefully, having more options will even out the traffic up and down Grand Parkway.

Also, the newer Walmarts are well maintained..........it can't look any worse then the HEB color scheme......LOL......

I found this link that shows all the properties around Home Depot. It says that Phase 1-2 are being developed and available for lease.......maybe no tenants yet.

New Camera at Chimney Rock and 59S feeder........

SO how does this work.........?

The entrance to 59S at Chimney Rock gets very backed up at rush hour.........When the light turns red, there are always 2-3 cars stuck in the middle of the intersection.......

Do these cars all get tickets? If so, that is 2-3 cars every light from 4:30 to 6:00 pm.......wow....that is lots of revenue........

I live right at Grand Parkway and 1093.....been there over two years.....

I was taking the Tollway from the day it was opened to Mason. It has definitely gotten progressively crowded since then. It was great over the summer but as soon as schooled started, it was a parking lot.

I bet a lot of new people moved into the area over the summer excited about using the Tollway.......I bet a lot are disappointed.......

I now take 99 to 90 to 59 (N) and it takes me the same time to get to work.....and it is 7 miles farther!!

It seems the feed lanes to the Tollway should be regulated (stop/go light) to help keep the flow moving....

Plus, I was seeing at least 5 cars a day that did not have the EZ tag (light flashed when they passed under).

When gas was $3 plus a gallon, I could justify it.....but not anymore..........

Note: If I leave at 5:00 PM from Chimney Rock, it takes 10 minutes longer to use freeways and not the Tollway......

Here is the latest...........

A Super-Walmart will start construction Jan. 2007........The issue they had with the brightness of the parking lot lights has been resolved.............(I already see a bulldozer working in the area)

As Wal-Mart has commited, here are other business' that are getting on board.......

Movie Complex 8-10 theater.......(Commited)

Whataburger........(Commited)

Papadeaux's...........(in possible talks or just a wish rumor)

These will all be on the west side of Grand Parkway between Bellaire and 1093.........

With Wal-Mart as the leader, I expect a lot of business' to show interest in this area.........

I heard it eventually if you smoke in your car or home and children are present, you can be arrested for Child Endangerment........afterall, a child has no say in the matter..........

With the latest news from the Surgeon General "Surgeon General says the nation's workplaces should all be smoke-free", what are the odds of Katy getting a smoking ban?

I am sure that Houston will pass a complete ban within a year.

Any thoughts?

The area for the Wal-mart (the two sections from Bellaire to 1093) on the west of Grand Parkway are open land.........it would actually be a great location for them with all the traffic from the WestPark and up/down Grandparkway.........

We just hope they have to use directional soft lights............

I am also hoping that Wal-mart would have to keep a topnotch store.........it would be very convenient.

I know that Wal-mart bought the property between Bellaire and 1093 on the west side. Construction of a new Super Wal-mart was supposed to break ground in January this year. I know they had permit issues due to their bright parking lights and lost. Anyone hear any news on if they are still building?
