    Coming South on 288, pass Beltway 8 and the second exit will be 518 (Probably 1-2 miles south of BW8). Take 518 exit to your right and HEB is right there on Shadow Creek Town Center. Very difficult to miss.

    Saw the big sign and also activity in their trailer office this morning. I agree with you Blocked Writer, with the amount of Retail and Office Space going up closeby right now and the plans in the future for the Spectrum and SCR (UT Campus, New Hospitals, Hotels, etc), a more restaurant oriented attraction area (Kemah comes to mind) would make much more sense. Cant wait to see the Presidents Heads rolling into Pearland!

    No, this one is on the SW corner of 288 and 518 in West Pearland. It will have the condos and hotel, but unfortunately no Virgin Mega Store. Barnes and Noble will do for now. The Pearland Pkwy and 8 project is now under construction, I drove by last weekend, but what they have up, looks like your regular strip mall type buildings. Don't know if they still call it "Parks at Boulder Creek".

    I just stayed at a Hyatt place in the Chicago area last week and was pleasantly surprised. For the money, the suite was sweet. Don't know if it could be compared to the Marriott, but personally think that could be a good fit to the area.

    I've been in SCR for almost 2 years now. Never been to Kroger or Randall's. I have survived with Super Target, Wal-Mart and an ocasional visit to Sam's Club; HEB will be my place to go in the future. Seems like they just opened Buccee's on 2234, anybody been there? I always stop at their stores on my trips to get beef jerky for the road.

    It is moving along. I will try to get some pictures in the next couple of days and post them. Being the only building going up in the Promenade at this time, it looks big. They are also working on the ramps to 288 and the internal Spectrum road system. The waterlight district has their sign up and one trailer in place.

    Seems like it will be more than HEB - The project name is Shadow Creek Ranch Town Center. Located at Highway 288 and FM 518 (Broadway). Grocery-anchored with retailers, restaurants and service retail. Designed in an upscale Mediterranean village setting. Construction already started.
