but still accurate.
Maybe.

I'm guessing no chance for parole with that type of sentence.
He'll get out on parole for good behavior in 2,067 years.

Can they not just say Life in prison. What the hell is up with 4,060 years in prison?

Minor change to your post above, I know that is what you essentially meant, but certain users like to over analyze things.
I am SO looking forward to see the evolution to achieve this goal. Wide (hopefully tree lined) sidewalks, retail/residential just off the street, and a bigger network of mass transit. Uptown has great potential. Less cars and more walking and mass transit sound so un-Houston, but I can't wait for that to change.
Nice post zaphod.
Yeah, great post zaphod.

Nine bathrooms? Why? Especially with just four bedrooms.
Millionaire....millionaires.....

What is messed up is that you think Joe's actions were premeditated. If ANYTHING was premeditated, it was the preceeding robbery that led up to their disposal.
So, you rather have the two illegals who are robbers living next to you, rather than Joe Horn. No worries.
They were premeditated. He said himself "I'm going to kill them". Is that not premeditated?

Why does he keep saying he had no intent to shoot? Does he not know the things he was saying on the 911 tape?

It would in this town. Not only would it be the tallest building in the city and Texas, it would be the tallest outside of a CBD period.
If they build this, it will be the tallest building outside of New York and Chicago in North America (obviously excluding the CN Tower).
-
I'm siding with the 911 Operator (just like almost every new network). You don't kill over property, especially if it is not your own. Horn was told not to go outside and not to confront the criminals. He made it up in his mind that he was going to kill them.
They both were running away from Horn. That is why they were shot in the back. I mean, unless people run backwards nowadays.
His life was not in danger. If it was, it was at his own accord, since he went outside to those criminals.
What they did was wrong, yes, but Horn is not the law and it was not his property.

Now you know that Houston is not going to build an 80-story building. Its been decades since Houston has built something that tall. Houston is way too iffy. The tallest they may go is 40-something, and then again that's a rarity.
You'll be disappointed .

It's only been a week.

But since Danax is no longer a member, it would look weird with him as the topic starter.

Can we just use the other thread?

I like East Village, or East Houston Village.

Forbes recently (two days ago) had a list for the top ten cities in the US for college graduates. The first three were: Houston, DFW, and Austin (in that order). SA didn't make the list. For having the highest college student per capita (something like that) SA needs to find a way to keep those graduates.

Most of these people probably have families, too, so a lot of houses will be going up for sale in San Antonio.

Aren't the plans for the Northwest and Southwest quadrants of the Katy Freeway and Beltway 8 interchange suppose to be two different retention ponds?

That's a solar powered urinal.
Must be what the P is for....
....that was bad.

Is the thing with a "P" a robot?

Yeah I think so, and it has been somewhere around 40 years. A lot of people from the West Coast (mainly California) and New York that move to Texas (especially the suburbs) are making it more and more liberal.

Obama 317
McCain 194
Ties 27
Texas is surprising me (well, not really since if the minorities come out and vote, Texas will go Obama).
-
Sure does. Houston has a growing tech industry though. Gained almost 5,000 jobs last year, and is only about 50K, or so behind DFW's number of tech jobs.
-
Some say a move to Atlanta would have been smarter for AT&T. I'm glad they are still in Texas, but have to ask why Atlanta would be better than DFW. Would be a much more expensive move, and Atlanta does not offer much more than DFW.

Rumor has it that USAA (a San Antonio Fortune 500) may be moving to Phoenix, and Tesero (another Fortune 500 in San Antonio) may be bought out by an oil company in Houston (don't know which one). I hope neither really happens to SA. would be two more big blows.
