  1. Say what you feel, cause if the Texans don't produce they're outta here just like the oilers, or it will be lesser crowd at the stadium. Then the owner and the GM have to find away to bring back the crowd, by adding top name players to the team. I know how things work from the inside, the fans (like yourself) looking from what they do on the field every sunday. I know what they do behind close doors, but I'm about to say what they do cause it's none of your concern. But I give you a hint... let the texans keep on having a season.
  2. Thanks y'all for supporting that ideal, but one thing about it they won't build it on main street, it would be great. I checked main street out for how much is land there. For a square feet of land on main stret is over 200 dollars, just for a square feet. So, any ideals where you would put a Alamo Drafthouse Cinema downtown?
  3. No need to explain to an simple person like yourself, Houcajun. Texans problem is they can not execute in the red zone. They move the ball, but they can not punch it in. They don't execute plays right in crucial moments. And another thing that you don't know about. Carolina had mixture of guys on their team just like Texans have, veterans and rookies. Carolina was a more determine team then the Texans. I realize about the Texans also, that they don't have enough aggressive on the team. It have to be a leader pumping your team up, a coach can not always pump the team up. It has to be a leader(s) within the team to stark that flame, that momentum, that desire to win. That's why I admire the Linebacker from the Ravens, Lewis, now he pumps up his team. Now that's a leader, a strong leader that the Texans needs to get them ready for war on the gridiron every gameday. The Texans need to stay foucs, and execute every play as possbile, and cause less turnovers and mindless penalties. Like I said before. The Texans better come out and play at their full potental this sunday against the Lions, if they don't. They will be heading to another good team, Kansas City Chiefs, followed by Oakland Raiders. Houston is a hostile crowd to deal with when you continue on having a losing season, just ask Bud Adams the former owner of the Oilers. And you say I don't know what I'm talking about? Please son, I take you to football 101.
  4. I talked about this once in the old Houston Architecture Forum, but no one was for it. A Alamo Drafthouse Cinema would be great for downtown, and its better then Angelika, cause it's like an restaurant and a theater combined. You could eat the same food like a restaurant have plus theater food; popcorn, candy, sodas, etc. Alamo Drafthouse would be perfect location for downtown.
  5. Excuse me. The Texans are not an expansion team anymore, and I know a great deal about football, cause I play semi pro. They even interviewed John Madden on the Texans, and he said the Texans should be 8-8 this season. Texans have a good team, yes. They have a good enough team to win 8 games, or even go to the playoffs. Look at Carolina, in their second year in the NFL they went to the second round of the playoffs, so don't tell me I don't know about football. Texans should win at lease 7 to 8 games this year, if not, somethings wrong with the coaching staff, or players. But of course, the GM and the owner going to take it out on the coaching staff, or cut some of the players that is not doing their job on the field. Texans have a hard season ahead of them.
  6. We will find out how good they are when they head to Detroit Sunday Game #2. If they lose this upcoming game, and the one against Kansas City Chiefs. If they become 0-3 the Texans can wrap up their 3rd season.
  7. It's no other them park will be built in houston for the time being. The only theme park they was considering was the astrodome, but right now that's in limbo.
  8. We need a mayor like Lee brown, cause he was on the right track for getting downtown in order. Bill white just fixing lights, and wanna take everything for granted what Lee brown has done for downtown. I know Lee brown done something's wrong for city of houston, but he did create the new downtown. I think it's not the mayor's decison, it's the entertainment division that hosuton has is not doing their job.
  9. See, y'all don't realize this. Houston is growing, true. Houston is not a 24/7 party city, true. Hosuton is not a tourrist city, true. Houston don't have enough residental downtown, true. This is why Houston is lacking on things like popluar retail and restaurants, etc. Nothing open 24/7 in downtown, at lease you heading to a club, or a bar. Houston is not a shoppers heaven, true. Houston is just a business city, that businessmen and women zip in and out of the city for meetings. They don't come here to look around, or shop. They may go somewhere to eat that's about it, depends on how long they have to stay. All the things I mention about Houston is true. We can not ask for a Barnes & Noble in downtown, why? I don't know. You have U of H downtown campus. Rice a couple blocks down near the texas medical center. All of these campus, all of these students in the dowtnown area and there's no major bookstore. I guess Downtown have to grow more, and find out what are they lacking of.
