  1. Yes, it is true. I don't care who's in the backfield, if that O-line is not blocking. But, Lundy was making things worst. As a runningback you must have runners insticts, if a hole is close bounce out and go to the next one, or make a hole. Lundy doesn't have that yet. Like I said, maybe next year (if he's not traded). Beating Washington is going to be a hard task for the Texans. They need to get into a rhythm really fast and stop half-assing out there. Carr need to play all four quarters, and not only a first half, or vice versa. Carr reminds me of a off and on switch. He's up one qaurter, down the next two, then try to impress the fans by showing movement in the fourth. Mr. Carr, in order to be a great quarterback and a leader you must first contibute to all four quarters. Right now, you haven't done that yet. If the Texans lose against Redskins, look for Sage to play against his old team, the Dolphins, or against Cowboys.
  2. Everytime I say someething about the Texans comes true. Kubiak mentions today press confernce that Wali Lundy may not be the starter for this weeks game against Redskins. Ron Dayne projected to be the starter, and Gado looking better every week will see more action this week. I told y'all about Lundy before, this guy doesn't show me he could be a starter for the NFL. He plays like a 3rd string back. Maybe he'll be better next year, if he be around.
  3. Anyone know if this project is still a go? I realize the website doesn't work.
  4. Yes, I know that also, TJones. But, I like to keep certain things to myself, cause if you post it on here people tends to throw it back in your face. But, the Gunslingers did change ownership. Let's not make this a Houston Gunslinger thread. Let's keep it as, Houston Texans.
  5. Break down on Redskins vs. Texans game... As we all know both teams are 0-2, and both are hungry for a win. Redskins defense: As I looked at their defense against the Cowboys Sunday night. They hardly didn't show any signs of blitzing, but their secondary is pretty aggressive. Redskins Offense: Mark Brunell, is still consider is good quarterback in this league, he's a lefty and has weapons to throw too. Randel El, Santana Moss, Portis (will play against Texans). Redskins offense is pretty tricky. Texans Defense: Ummmm, that's a big ummm. Their defense might have some problems against Redskins offense. They might hold off the running, but the secondary needs major help. If the Texans lose this game, blame it on the secondary. Texans Offense: If the O-Line holds their blocks, I think Carr could get almost 300+ passing yards against Redskins defense. Their running game still have to show me more. Ron Dayne (the Great Dayne) and Gado have to pound that defense line, weaken them, then open it up for the passing. On the other hand, Lundy? He still have alot to learn, he's just a rookie. I would drop him down to 3rd string and make Ron Dayne the starter, with Gado as backup. I also like to add, this will be Eric Moulds and Andre Johnson biggest game IF they play their cards right. Bottom line: This might be a slugfest. Back to back touchdowns. I think whomever have the ball last will win the game. On the edge, I have to give it to the Redskins by 3.
  6. I see how much y'all know. Houston Gunslingers didn't play this year, or last year due to owner changing. Plus, I didn't play this year cause of my knee. When you do your resreach make sure you do it right. Half of y'all just as backwards then those damn Texans.
  7. Gunslingers was twice aggresive then the Texans are now. I'm not saying we should of beat them, but I tell you this, they will remember the Gunslingers.
  8. Tjones, do you know some Semi Pro teams, even College teams could beat some NFL teams? I know the Texans is one of them. They play like a college team. Football is football. They all have 11 mens on the field. The only difference is probably the tempo of the game. And Gary, I don't have to prove nothing to you, or anybody else on this thread. I'm a football man. Grown up with a football in my hands when I was only 2 years old, and ran against top rated runners across Texas in track.
  9. I've played runningback in all types of shemes. Zone, basic, trap, pro, i-formation, single back, power i-formation, and a formation called Maryland I-formation (where 3 backs lined up in i-formation). I even played a little slot.
  10. If you had read my posts on the Houston Texans thread, you should know how much I know about football. Hell, I've been right about this organzation for the past 2 years now. Semi-Pro football is just like NFL. The only thing different they get paid and get recognition, we don't. But, it's the same group of guys on the field same as NFL. Matter in fact, my Championship team back in my rookie year in Semi Pro would give the Texans a run for their money. My team was Houston Gunslingers. We had the most feared defense in the league then. Ask anybody about the Gunslingers in Semi Pro and they will tell you.
  11. Give this organzation a break? Please. They had 5 years of breaks, and still on a break. I've been right about this so called franchise for 2 years now, and I'm not stopping cause I'm on the roll. Some of y'all haven't played the sport before, probably even touched a football before and trying to tell me how. y'all just wait until gameday and sit back on y'all couches with beer kegs hopeing this team wins. I've played the sport since I was 10 until now, 27. Played Semi-Pro ball for 4 years, and had invitations to Broncos, Texans and Cardinals camps. The only thing stop me was my knee. I had two surgeries on the same knee (just like Domanick Davis going through. I really feel his pain). I know what it takes to built a franchise team, and this team have long ways to go to be champions. Like I said before, and I'm sticking to my words. The Texans will be 0-4 doing bye week. Next year, will be a little bit better, but still no playoffs until probably 2008-09.
  12. Next week against the Redskins will be even more diffcult. This team can lose tonight against the Cowboys and be 0-2, then come back and win against the Texans. The Redskins is going study the Texans on film and see that they can not pick up blitz, and that's what the Redskins going to do, Blitz! Carr can't stop it, and sure can't the O-Line. On the other hand, the defense is horriable. I give offense credit, they're better then defense. I don't know which one are wroster, D-Line, or secondary. On the edge I have to give it to the secondary. Like I said before. The Texans will see a wild card spot in the playoffs in 2008-09. No hope for this year, or next year.
  13. Excuse me again. The only way Carr got those high ratings, cause Colts pull out their 1st string defense, and put in 2nd/3rd strings. If the 1st string was still in there, Carr would never seen those high marks.
  14. ^^^ Trae. I don't care if a team is good or bad. The Texans should compete with any 31 teams. My predition is still on. 0-4 doing bye week.
  15. I told y'all what's going to happen, and once again it came true. These Texans need to just throw in the towel, or make a change at quarterback. They look horriable against the Colts. It looks like Kuibak just put a team together and told them to go play, Jesus! I told y'all the Texans will go 0-4 doing bye week.
  16. I've heard alot of stories about New Orleans evacuees/residents that now live in Houston trying to find jobs, and start a new life. But, what strike me the most was my friends mention to me that New Orleans residents trying to apply for jobs and have been turn away, just cause they where from New Orleans. The interviewers/Companies look for zip codes that start with 504, or city/state that beings with LA/New Orleans. The reason why they doing this simply because they want them to return back to New Orleans. The question is, to what? I've not only heard this from my friends, but from other people as well. I thought they were joking around when they first told me, but it's true. 60% of New Orleans poor population still in Houston area, and half of them is not going back home, sad to say.
  17. I told y'all what's going to happen. I'm not being negative. I'm being real. The earlist groundbreaking you might see is probably November, if not, 1st quarter 07.
  18. I don't care who they get in the backfield. If that O-Line doesn't block, we will have the same results like the Eagles game, period. That means Bush, Shawn Alexander, Julius Jones, etc... Doesn't matter who they put in that backfield. Colts will put up more than 30-40 points against Texans, and maybe they will wake up from this ass whipping they're about to receive.
  19. Well, Marty. I kinda disagree with you on Carr is not a quarterback. David is a quarterback, and suppose to be a vertern leader out there on the field. But, he doesn't act like it. Sage Roensfels, the second string quarterback, looks and act more like a vertern leader then Carr. Watch what I tell ya. When they bench Carr and put in Sage, watch the difference in the offense. I beleive after the bye week when their 0-4, Kubiak well bench Carr. Sage will start when they play against the Cowboys.
  20. ^^^ Who cares with these teams got. The Texans should go up against any 31 teams in the NFL. That's why they call it Any Giving Sunday. Skin Pig is right. I really do think Houston is cursed. Plus, I've mention this before on serveral other threads. Alot of people on here say "Oh, they have a new system, and Carr have to learn it." That's bull sh**! This damn quarterback name Carr is considered as a vertern, and he suppose to produce on that field all 4 quarters, not only one. In every game Carr does the same crap, comes out on fire, then burns out in the 2nd half. Excuse me, but that's no vertern leader quarterback. I'm sick and tried of people on here making excuses for this man. The only way the Texans go to the playoffs, or Super Bowl if they get rid of Carr. Carr is not the type of quarterback to take the Texans to the playoffs, or to the big dance. One of my friends mention that, "Carr have the feet movement, the arm, but no brains."
  21. 0-4 bye week. Texans will be contenders for 1st round draft next year. They will lose against the Cowboys, and Jacksonville. The only game that I know that they might have a chance on beating is the Titans, and their no push over either. The Texans be lucky if they win 5 games this year. Futhermore, if they keep losing. The fans will sell their tickets, and no one will be at the games again (like last year). Remember, I'm always right about the Texans. Everything I said toward the Texans came true. Because I know, and y'all know the Texans don't have a chance on a cold day in hell on beating Manning and the Colts. Have y'all heard of Pick-a-part Auto? That's what Manning going to do with the defense, pick'em apart. This should be good practice for Manning.
  22. Carr looked like a rookie all over again. Yes, I agree he came out with fire, but just like Carr, the fire dies out. For a vertern quarterback (like Carr) he needs to have that spark throughout the football games, not just one quarter, duh. And you said you not worried? You better be, cause Carr and the Texans will go 0-4, with Sage coming off the bench maybe after bye week, or before then. If the Texans do something, anything in the season it will be with Sage, not Carr. The man was tripping over his damn feet for God sake. Call that a quarterback? Plus, he was running 15-20 yards back trying to throw the ball, got sack 5 times. Bob McNair, is trying to make Carr out of something that he's not. He can not lend this team to playoffs, or to Super Bowl. How Carr looked in preseason was going to follow in regular season.
