That crown would have to be huge. 609 Main has 48 floors - will the crown really be that much taller or the height of each floor that much bigger to push it more than 10 or 20 feet above 609 Main?
The podium might be bigger? Considering how much higher it looks in the renderings, but the crown does look decently big.

considering the size of the crown is a decent deal higher than 609 in both pics, it should be able to breach the 800 ft mark even if it's 48 floors. I'm also wondering if the crown will have some type of lighting scheme. But, I'm not gonna lie this tower is gonna make a pretty big change to this part of the skyline.

Sorry to bump this, but anybody know how this project is progressing?

The Briefest of Summaries: Dec 1 will be the first game against Oregon, woman's first game will be against TAMU Dec 5. A few other details, and a slideshow showing some renderings, and construction photos.

If I go off my amateur scaling skills, the building to the right (3050 Post Oak?) is 243 ft. If your were to line it up to the base of the tallest tower, and gauge how many times taller the big tower is (about 3.25 times). The big tower will be in the 700-780 ft range. Now scaling off of that, the second tallest one should be in the 470-510 range. Take this with a huge grain of salt though.

Whatever they’re doing, it’s not full-force construction work. There is only a skeleton crew there each day.
Feel like it's gonna be a skeleton crew until; they start pouring the foundation
