I really wish Randall Davis would design/build a parking podium that is less conspicuous. Yes, it may cost more, but it would be soooo worth it aesthetically.
For a guy that likes to provide high end living, he builds the worst podiums in the city. It bothers me working in Uptown and having to stare at the giant white blocks every way I look. He is obsessed with white stucco.

HAR listing with interior pics

THAT costs $2.2M???? Plus over $1,100 a month for maintenance fees. It is just so plain and boring to me. Other new projects aren't new that prices and look so much better. To each their own I guess but to me it is very underwhelming for that steep price.

Incredible. If these two new towers end up as tall as the FAA filings, this should be a huge focal point on the skyline. Caydon is a gamechanger.

I am looking at buying in this area now. Value will only go up.

I miss the days when Two Rows was in the Village. Best happy hour on Wednesdays.

That sounds like a really cool place. Glad I work in the area.

Pretty cool you got the same info a while back from the job postings but glad to see it confirmed and the renderings.

A little more info on the new bars and restaurants that will be in the new tower/conference center.

Is part of that absorption because of Harvey and apartments being filled as homes are being rebuilt?

Dang 550 trucks! Argos is making serious money with that kind of delivery for this project.

Nothing new. They're trying to lease the office building, haven't had any deals yet but are getting interest from mid-sized energy firms and financial institutions.
I think the residential and hotel is slated to go forward with the office waiting on preleasing.
That is what I thought but wasn't sure if any nuggets about construction start dates were in the article. Thanks.

How is flooding in that area? Why is it called and Esports arena, and not s sports arena. Just curious.
Aerials from GoogleEarth look fine in the area after Harvey. The only areas with water are two empty lots that look like they were designed to be detention basins.
I assume because esports is different than sports. It is competitive video games and drone flying. This market is growing very fast so I am not surprised to see an arena be built. If done right they will be able to host events from across the state, country, and world. I agree the location could be better but the were a couple furniture stores/warehouses here so there is lot of land.

Parking isn't great yet but I am sure it will be valet.
They are building a fountain wall on the back but it is not complete

Is this taking forever or what. It seems to have much more lathe and plaster on it than I thought they were adding especially on the lower floors.
The updated rendering added more plaster to the lower floors. They just put an entire floors of windows in on the current floor where they are working. I drive by daily and construction hasn't slowed.

Looks cool, but you're landlocked between the federal reserve building and a housing project...
I don't have a problem with those apartments. They have been around for decades and in a city that tears everything down, that is rare. They have made them look nice as well. Sure it would be nice to expand downtown forever but with how many other areas can be built on, those apts sure get picked on a lot.

The property overview map on the website shows a Bill's Bar and Burger of New York City in the property.

Anyone familiar with the site and topography? Height not distance from water is the crucial factor whether flooding occurs.
Looking at Google Earth Images from 8/30 right after the storm, you can still see water in the southeast corner of the property and along the southern boundary. I would think this was flooded during the peak of Harvey. You could raise the land say 5 feet and with a parking garage on the base, it wouldn't be a huge deal but I am sure they are cautious.

I cant believe he hasn't purchased the corner of Post Oak and the feeder road and developed that...(just north of his development)
that empty bank building/lot is such an eyesore and to know that everyone has to pass that to get to his place...well you would think that would be something he would take on...
any news on that corner regarding any plans/projects, etc? Even if they just took down the building and landscaped the lot would be a huge improvement...(now all of a sudden i am second guessing myself haha....there is still a building there right? haha!)
The direct corner is an ugly concrete/laydown lot. There is an old structure adjacent to it too.

I call BS on the views in that rendering. There is no "tower" that looks like that to the left in the photo. Based on the current layout and the layout shown in the original floor plan, the pool will be at ground level on the backside. That will be pretty lame because it backs up to the street between the new tower and a five story wrap. Has the vibes of a pool at a Days Inn.

It is a shame this didn't stick with the original design. His obsession with white stucco and no clue how to hid a podium ruin so many of his projects.
